Crallan Ray Vega received his vocal training from the world famous Drakensberg Boys Choir, and has been refining his skill as a singer/songwriter for the past 30 years. He is currently recording his third album which promises to be a heart opening musical experience; giving voice to the influences of Classical, Middle Eastern, African and Brazilian music that has touched his heart over the years.
Crallan has shared the stage and collaborated with a number of top South African musicians, including Tananas, Landscape Prayers, Louis Mhlangu and was a founding member of the band Naked, which enjoyed much success as well as a SAMA award nomination.
SAFM’s Michelle Constant called him “South Africa’s best kept secret.”
Currently Crallan is making sonic art waves with his “Hummingbird Concert Series” which is a collection of spirit songs off his upcoming album, celebrating the evolution of the human spirit. The concerts have been enjoying great success and the last two have been sold out.
He is joined by the Catto brothers, Nick and Matt, who are exceptional singers and instrumentalists. Nick and Matt hail from the Blundell family, who have been a force in the South African music industry for two generations. The two brothers complete the three part vocal harmonies with astonishing beauty and incredible accuracy.
