As a musician I’d like to play the music I love, especially the music made by myself and my friends, all around the world.
Jitsvinger
Collaborating for the first time at Voorkamerfest, multicultural performing artist, Jitsvinger, will be gracing a home of Darling with Muizenberg horn-player, Keegan Steenkamp… bringing his flavours of jazz, blues, soul and contemporary to the mix.
Together their different musical ingredients creates a sonic blend aptly dubbed “Langsous”, a narrative that celebrates their identity and musical heritage dripping with imaginings and soundscapes that ventures far outside the conventional and mainstream.
Jitsvinger, known for his rapid word deliveries, adds layers of guitar riffs & loops over Keegan’s enigmatic passages on trumpet, improvising mid-stream to add to the excitement!
